Working Bee/Hive Opening & Practical Beekeeping Session – Varroa Saturday 9 May, 10:00am-3:00pm LVBA Grounds (99 Saviges Road, Moe)
We will be opening our hives, in which we have confirmed the presence of Varroa. This practical session will be limited to 20 participants, so registrations are essential.
Hive Inspections (Latrobe Valley Beekeepers Association Members Only) will include:
Please bring your own freshly laundered bee suit and gloves if attending the hive inspections.
We will also be holding a working bee to help prepare the grounds for the market the following day, and we would greatly appreciate your assistance.
Come for an hour or stay for the whole time.
Working Bee – Open to Members and the General Public
Members of the general public are warmly encouraged to attend the working bee—there is no need to be a member of the Latrobe Valley Beekeepers Association.
Tasks throughout the day will include:
